We are thrilled to welcome Sofia Ruhne, owner of Terreno Estate in Chianti, for a special tasting this Saturday.
Born in Sweden but raised among the forest-covered hills of Greve, Sofia has been at the helm of her family’s estate since 2015. Under her leadership, Terreno has transitioned to organic farming and sharpened its focus on Sangiovese, the heart of Chianti. She also recruited winemaker Giacomo Fioravanti—who previously spent ten years crafting wines alongside Paolo de Marchi at Isole e Olena. The results are nothing short of exceptional.

The Terreno Vineyard on the eastern flank of the valley gives aromatics and beautiful fruit; Le Bonille, also on the eastern flank, lends structure and minerality; Sillano, very high on the western flank, contributes freshness and depth. Bear in mind that Greve is in the far northeast corner of the Chianti Classico.
