As part of the wheated bourbon family, this twelve year old W.L. Weller is aged far longer than most wheated bourbons. This offering is a smooth, easy-going and balanced bourbon with a beautiful deep bronze color.
Golden honey color. Rich aromas of baked apple, vanilla, oak, warming spices, light wood and toasted nut aromas. Well balanced harmony between vanilla, wood and ripe apple. It has an overall effect that reads like shortbread cookies and apple compote warmed with cinnamon stick and clove. Hints of pecan, orange peel and black pepper add complexity. Suitable for drinking on its own or is delicious in cocktails such as a Side Car or Old Fashioned.
