2018 Cesari - Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Bosan

750ml | SKU 92624 | Available
92 JS

Not immediately recognizable as a Ripasso, because there’s zero dried-fruit character to the berries and cherries on the nose and palate. Oak adds a little spicy note, though. Medium-to full-bodied with a structured, linear feel to the palate. Not expansi...

2022 Chateau Yvonne - Saumur-Champigny La Folie

750ml | SKU 97797 | Available

La Folie, aka “The crazy one”, comes from over ten different parcels located in the commune of Champigny (one of which is called La Folie). Mathieu acquired these vines in 2007, the same year that he took over Chateau Yvonne. And Indeed it was quite crazy year to manage the new domaine along with an additional 4 hectares. Over time, Mathieu has mastered this wine, and it has now outgrown the “little brother” status of the Yvonne Rouge to become a magestic wine in its own right. Perhaps even more than the Yvonne Rouge, La Folie greatly benefits for a few years in bottle to round out the striking tannis from the colder terroir of Champigny.

2019 Chiarlo - Barbera d'Asti DOCG La Court

750ml | SKU 99160 | Available

This wine shows a step up in elegance and finesse next to the fruity Nizza Cipressi. Instead, the Michele Chiarlo 2019 Nizza Riserva La Court boasts a composed personality with plum, dark fruit, earth and wild rose. This pretty wine is streamlined and tap...

91 VM

The 2021 Barbera d'Alba Vigna Serraboella is a rich, sumptuous wine. Succulent dark red/purplish fruit, lavender, rose petal, spice and mocha are all beautifully amplied. The aromatics are a bit high-toned, but there is enough fruit to balance things o...

2022 Clos la Coutale - Malbec Cahors

750ml | SKU 98768 | 24 Available

Halfway between Bordeaux and Montpellier, Cahors is as close to the Mediterranean as it is to the Atlantic Ocean. And while this commune is technically part of the Occitanie region—which encompasses the Languedoc wine region—the red wine this AOC produces is arguably a nearer relative to those of Pomerol and Saint-Émilion than it is to those from the great Languedocien villages. For decades, Philippe Bernède of Clos La Coutale has farmed Malbec and Merlot just south of the Lot River. Following harvest, he de-stems the grapes and vinifies each parcel separately before blending the wine and aging it in foudres and old grand cru Bordeaux barrels. The result presents a thrilling paradox: this age-worthy red displays both refinement and rusticity. If Bordeaux is the polished and urbane one in the family, Cahors is the sneakily sophisticated, but humbler country cousin, loaded with personality you’ll enjoy getting to know

2021 Clos Mogador - Priorat (750ml)

750ml | SKU 100418 | 18 Available

The eponymous red 2021 Clos Mogador fermented with some 30% full clusters trying to give it more freshness (but without noticing the stems) with a long maceration (40 to 50 days) and (almost) no punching down, with less extraction. There's been a progress...
