2024 Pago de los Capellanes - O'Luar do Sil Godello (750ml)
Pago de los Capellanes started a 2nd winery in Valdeorras to specialize in white wines from the Godello grape. This wine is 100% Godello grown on granitic soils near the village of Codos de Larauco. All grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a cold maceration on the skins to retain optimal aromatics. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats after pressing and removal of the gross lees. When fermentation is complete the wine rests on its lees for 3 months with batonnage (lees stirring) to deliver richness, body and aromatic density.

2023 Paros Farming Community - Seiradi White Cuvee Topos (750ml)
2020 Philippe Grisard Verdesse Allobrogie Vice Versa
Another rare alpine variety from Savoie specialist Philippe Grisard. This Verdesse offers ripe yellow stone fruit aromas and flavors with hints of lemon zest and fresh thyme. It's medium-weight with a certain creaminess on the palate, but its vibrant acidity keeps it fresh and light on its feet. Verdesse was a rather more popular variety in the past, but there are barely more than 25 acres in total planted today. I'm glad to have been able to stash a few bottles away for myself, because it's no longer being imported. If anyone wants to cross another obscure variety off your list, here's a delicious chance! - John Fitter | Addy Bassin's
