Luminous straw-green. Aromas of lemon, crystallized ginger and tropical fruit. Juicy, dense and suave, offering rich apple and pear flavors complicated by repeating hints of crystallized ginger and a whiff of chamomile. Very good acid lift extends the flavors on the rich, savory back end. - Ian D'Agata, Vinous Media
Picked on the first of October from 60- and 80-year-old vines in the heart of the cru, the 2014 Alsace Grand Cru Geisberg Riesling is an intense, concentrated, lush and powerful wine with an almost creamy texture and a lovely touch of sweetness. There are first hints of bottle maturity here, but this 2014 is still very young and fresh. There is nice purity and mineral tension on the persistent and aromatic finish. A beautiful Geisberg that was bottled in July 2015. - Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate
The 2015 Riesling Pfoeller was the first Riesling Félix Meyer picked in that warm and dry year (with around 103° Oechsle on September 12th). It opens with a nice lemon-freshness and the smoky purity of shell limestone (Muschelkalk) that reminds me of smoked dates and cold ashes. The attack on the palate is pure and fresh, stunningly finesse-full and silky. Only in the piquant, fresh and stimulatingly salty finish you get the stewed fruit flavors of the 2015 vintage, but due to the grip and tension of the Pfoeller, this is still well integrated. This is a nicely creamy textured wine and its finish is fresh, nicely bitter and piquant, with attractive grapefruit flavors and a lingering salinity. An excellent 2015. - Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate
Aged on the lees until the bottling in September, the 2015 Riesling Wineck-Schlossberg displays a clear and intense bouquet of warm, ripe white fruits along with flinty and citrus flavors. Full-bodied and rich on the palate, this is a very powerful and intense Wineck-Schlossberg that offers intense, stewed fruit aromas, fine tannins and a well-structured and powerful finish. This is a mouthful of Riesling with a lot of flesh and concentration, whereas you shouldn't look for purity and tansparency here. This 2015 is pretty rich indeed. - Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate
The 2018 Gewurztraminer Roche Roulée is quite a bit drier than the Roche Calcaire tasted next to it. The candied orange peel and passion fruit flavors are a bit more overt, but the wine retains terrific tension and energy to balance things out. The Roche Roulée has a real sense of structure to it that will work beautifully at the dinner table. It is a blend of valley floor sites in Turckheim and Herrenweg. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
A rich, dry version, with a powerful frame of finely honed acidity and a streak of spicy mineral, this shows a well-meshed range of baked peach and persimmon fruit, lemon thyme and grated ginger flavors. Long and creamy on the mineral-driven finish. Drink now through 2032. – Wine Spectator
Citrus-spiked honeysuckle perfumes the nose of this wine, along with a warmer touch of vanilla. The palate is slender, taut, bright and fresh, but also textured and creamy, blending that floral perfume with the aromatics of creamy orange peel. Layer upon layer of floral and citrus freshness continue to the dry finish. Lovely now, the wine will evolve. Drink until 2030. - Anne Krebiehl MW, Wine Enthusiast
The 2018 Pinot Gris Roche Calcaire is a beautiful wine. Apricot, chamomile, orange peel and wild flower all grace an airy, weightless Pinot Gris built on finesse and understatement. Light tropical accents add layers of nuance over time. The Roche Calcaire is mostly young vine fruit from Clos Windsbuhl. It has all of the flavor signatures of its sibling, but with less palate weight and overall depth. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
The 2018 Riesling Roche Roulée is a very beautiful and complete wine. Open aromatics lead to a soft, silky palate with lovely plushness and depth. The Roche Roulée is creamy and expansive, showing terrific depth and plenty of charm. Apricot, lemon confit, marzipan, dried flower, sage and mineral tones all open effortlessly. The 2018 will be very easy to drink while young. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
